Camp Fire

Chico, CA, November 14, 2018: The Camp Fire started seven days ago, on November 8 at 6:29 am. Fueled by intense north winds, a dry air mass and critically dry fuels, the fire moved rapidly from the Pulga area in the Feather River Canyon into nearby communities including Paradise, Magalia and Concow. Critical fire weather conditions spread the fire to over 100,000 acres in the first two days. Currently, the fire is 130,000 acres and 35% contained.
There have been 48 confirmed civilian fatalities and 7,600 residences destroyed.
